Extremely adapted from Steamy Kitchen
Obviously I didn't use asparagus. Didn't use an oven either.
Ingredients
1/2 head broccoli, broken into florets and stem pieces
1 carrot, chopped
2 tablespoon butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon pepper
- Boil 1-inch of water in a pot, then add the broccoli and carrots and cover pot with lid. Lower heat to medium and steam vegetables until tender. Drain when done.
- Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat; cook 3 minutes or until lightly browned, shaking pan occasionally.
- Add garlic to pan and cook until done.
- Remove from heat; stir in soy sauce and balsamic vinegar. Drizzle over broccoli and carrots, tossing well to coat. Add salt and pepper to taste and toss again.
